I admire Gainey as well. I imagine he'll be in the hot seat too…. it's totally his team now.

If the team slumps… I can hear the media now… But I'm an optimist.

I think Gomez could certainly bounce back.. much like Kovalev did after coming from New York.

Cammalleri will certainly have lot's to proove.

And I guess this is the year that Gainey is in the hot seat. This is his team now.

The final comaparison will come at season's end when the "New Habs" numbers can be compared as a team collective and not as individuals from different teams.

Key turnaround year for Gomez, who never met expectations in NY and a must prove year for Cammalleri, a more than capable scorer in L.A., who must show he didn't need Iginla to rack up 39 goals.

Yeah... I know.

When I was writing the shots and Kovalev in this post... I kept thinking about the times he'd just dangle around with the puck and hesitate to shoot on the Power Play....

Sometimes they just wouldn't shoot.

I remember the frustration.

I think the biggest problem with the Habs last year was that they were looking for that perfect play and just wouldn't shoot. I can recall so many blown chances that it makes me sick.

It's positive to see the differences though. I like!
