Even if Markov was voted in by the team, I think judging by his quiet he would probably turn it down. And that's ok.

Can't blame a guy for not wanting to jump into that fire… it doesn't really seem to fit his peronality.

But he is the General. I brushed on how important he is to the powerplay here. As long as he is manning the left point on the PP, we are all set. I'm eager to see what he'll do with Spacek on is flank.
