They wanted to limit shots from close up…. and managed to clog up the shooting lane repeatedly. Lot’s of Capitals shots came from the outside.

Hindsight sometimes comes to bite us…. I think Gainey’s choices are looking pretty good right about now.

One thing that was criticized over the last several years was the heart…. but you’re right. These guys play with heart.

Cammalleri, Gomez, Gionta, Gill, Moen… and the last 4 are Stanley Cup champs.

This is the team that Bob Gainey built and they did it with BIG HEARTS…..not necessarily Big Bodies…(oh, and good goaltending helped…LOL)..Bring on Crosby and Co..
