Suffering a head or brain Injury can be life changing. Whilst a claim for compensation cannot give you back your old life it can provide financial support and security for your future. It is extremely common with head and brain injuries that specialist treatment and care will be required. Due to the complexities of these types of injuries this care can be expensive. We will ensure that not only is this expense covered in your settlement but that the rehabilitation following treatment is covered too. There are some expenses which are easy to overlook and may seem inexpensive such as adaptations to your home to accommodate your needs and ongoing physiotherapist treatment.

You are right --helmets can only protect against direct hits against the skull --traumatic brain injury can occur through the sheer whipping of the head at a high velocity as the brain jiggles inside the skull --no helmet can protect that. Which is why the NHL should really look at checking in hockey esp checking in youth sports. My second-year squirt just got illegally checked during tryouts and has suffered a concussion --very scary.

I am not surprised, it seems there is a similar effect in boxing. It is like the brain moves around inside the skull when the person gets hit. Even though hockey players wear helmets, I think it just protects the outer portion of the head. I could be wrong though.
