Very true about not appreciating something until it's gone. I was a big Roy fan in the day, I was heart broken.... I was heart broken for Koivu and all the crap that he took in media.... I was also heart broken for Brisebois when people were booing him off the ice.

It's one thing to "voice your opinion" or dislike.... but acting classless is simply what it is... classless.

While I do love Tony and crew, at times some of the stuff that comes out of the shows (not just Team990 shows, other talk shows as well) leaves me thinking it just went too far.

It's all entertainment really, even the media that reports on the Canadiens is a form of entertainment as they are reporting on sports entertainment.

At the end of the day, I cringe to think about how some of these players experience the hockey media blitz in Montreal.

I know if I was a player listening and read some of the negative banter that's thrown about... I'd have a hell of a time trying to be happy working there.

I left my job for a better place because my long-distance incompetent bosses continuously crapped on me. Habs fans not content with having run "the great" Patrick Roy out of town won't rest until Price does the same where they'll eventually cry as he hoists a Stanley Cup elsewhere. Today I heard Chelios and how upset he was when he was traded, listening while on hold at all the terrible things fans were saying about him behind his back, and then those same fans were frothing at the mouth once they realize how terribly misguided they were. To that I'm starting to think the entire organization should just pack up and leave. Teach this fanbase, this city, and this medling province a lesson. Because you never appreciate what you've had until it's long gone...

Habs fans are vastly becoming fanatics to the worst degree. Perhaps they should read The Secret? Because this team will have a tough time in getting that 25th Stanley Cup with all the negative energy surrounding them.

Also, It's funny you mentioned what Marinaro said...because, frankly, he's one of those media bigmouths responsible for creating this type of frenzied storm with how he reports "rumors" and things he learned from so-called reliable yet unnamed sources that he has no business learning or reporting without getting the full spectrum on the issue. He can't seem to pass a day without either crapping on Kostitsyn or taking a jab at Price indirectly in a smug manner. And his interviews are heading for the Larry King sensationalism route. I'm so glad Melnick is back from vacation.
