I think it could be a very interesting year for Cammalleri.. and Kostitsyn.

If the team stays healthy compared to last year, I think Cammalleri could push 40.

Points to go around with some of these forwards.

I'd love to see Lapierre play a strong 2 way game.... using his skating.... I think he could "shadow" guys quite well.

Can't wait 'till this gets going!

I can see A.K. and Cammy with both plus 30 goal campaigns……Cammy could even be 40 plus….Of cours this will mean Plekanec gets lots and lots of assists….70-80 or more ?? That is if they play together a lot….After the great playoff run last year, I'm really looking forward to lots of guys having success…..Breakout year for A.K. and Lapierre.. ?

I think you're bang on Kyle. He'll want to do as well as possible…. not just for the team, but it would be natural to want to negotiate a better deal at season's end.

I suspect that even if he has a fairly strong year this year, like say 25-30 goals…. they may likely just offer him a short deal.

He's in a contract year, so you know what that means! Like any pro athlete, he'll want to put up good numbers to earn himself a fat paycheck.

If he even hits 25 goals, it's not certain that the Canadiens would even keep him, it would depend on what Kostitsyn's demands were. He would still be a restricted free agent so his leverage would be limited, but still, a good year would earn him at least another 3 million. A disappointing season would probably get him on the path of 1 year deals until he reaches unrestricted free agency.
